Description

This course will define sustainability as it applies in the world order. It will focus on alternative energy sources and the role that energy has played in modern society. Specifically, it will cover in some detail photovoltaic systems, wind energy systems, and solar thermal systems such as hot water and heating. The student will look at the economic and environmental impact that fossil fuels have created the overall awareness and appreciation of modern energy usage and knowledge of alternatives that allow for a sustainable future.
