Description

Students will study methods of marketing horses and horse-related activities. Methods of marketing a breeding program will be covered, as well as preparing and marketing the individual horse, horse businesses including training programs, equine assisted activities & therapies, and equine events. Technology and current marketing methods will be utilized. Additionally, fundamentals of previous classes and put the techniques to use towards hosting equine related events and preparing and marketing a horse for a sale. Students will market and host an equine related event of their choice. Students will also develop and execute a preparation/conditioning plan for a sale horse during this course. Lectures, discussions, videos, live horse demonstrations and hands-on labs with live horses will be utilized to promote proper preparation, grooming, clipping, braiding, and conditioning techniques.
