Environmental Chemistry 3 CREDITS In this course, students will understand and examine the environment at the chemical and biological micro and macro levels as a natural and modified system. Topics will include contamination by anthropomorphic sources of the water, soil, and air, as well as environmental processes involving the fate and distribution of natural compounds and pollutants. Toxicology will be discussed in regard to the effects of those elements or compounds which threaten the diverse ecological systems as well as the poisonous effects on man. Pre-requisites: BIO 124, CHEM 121, CHEM 122
